The heart of this game revolves around the creation of a map, which you will fill out with detail as you play. You will take on the role of a budding cartographer, arriving at a new land with a blank map book and a desire to explore.

By the end, you'll have created a unique map filled with interesting locations and history that you can use in other fantasy role-playing games like D&D.

This product is a hardcover, 90-page book, and includes the game via email. You can also get a digital copy.

What is Cartograph?

Cartograph is a solo / multiplayer map-making RPG about journaling, exploration, worldbuilding, and resource management.

The core rules are easy to learn, and facilitate the creation of a world map through a variety of prompts and tables. By the end of a game, you will have produced a map of an unknown world, complete with a journal that details those places.

This is a great artefact to use as a homebrew setting for your DnD 5e campaign, or other fantasy systems.

The Atlas Edition of Cartograph

looks like fun!

It took almost a month to receive and I had to wait days to hear back from customer service via email. Lastly the pictures make it look like a regular saze D&D book. So it was a shock on the small size. Its not bad, but maybe include the size dimensions.

I love how tight nit the game is and the 2 bookmark tastles makes navigating the book extremely easy during play.

A fun time!

I've been playing this with my husband! We've both had such a fun adventure so far - before our adventure even began our Cartographers were part of an oceanic trip. My man Max Skye with his Obnoxious Hat and his Sidney with his chiseled jawline have traipsed into war-torn cities, found secret canyon towns, supped secret springs, and been revered as a god by some of the locals. It took a little to get started, lots of page turning and making mistakes - but it was really fun once we got the hang of it all.

I was going to suggest a sort of quick reference guide to each stage of play with something of a flowchart to be a supplementary material to make sure we didn't forget any step along the way but... they already had one near the back of the book!

I received my hardcover copy and digital ones so its been nice to have multiple pages open via a physical book, and an iPad... and a phone... Its good!

Having a lot of fun with it, I hope to utilize this map we're building for a D&D session I run with him and our neighbours next year :)

A fine production

While I haven't played the game yet I am very happy with the quality of the materials and presentation. The overall product matches the theme well. Would recommend on that basis alone.
