In August, Donald Trump removed the De Minimus exception on tariffs - a change that was initially scheduled for 2027, but was brought forward with just a week’s notice. As a result, the Australian government suspended postal services to the US. Shipping was suspended for weeks, resulting in a backlog not just in Australia (because many countries were in the same position).

As a small business, we don’t have an expert on hand, but we did get advice about the backlog and delays because they made sending packages risky (high chance of loss). To make sure everyone got their order, we chose to send a bulk shipment to the USA distributor to handle our USA and Canada orders. They will then send the orders out from there, meaning your order will be as safe as possible using domestic carriers closer to you.

Currently, the shipment has hit the USA, and we’re waiting for it to reach the distributor.
